Personal Archaeology: a poetry workshop led by Heart Archives author Sue Rose

EVENT FINISHED – THANKS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED.

Details: 5 July 2014 / 11am-4pm / The Poetry School, London SE11

• Our lives are filled with items handed down by past generations, as well as fetishistic objects that speak volumes about our daily lives and the lives of the people we love. Whether they are photos, items of jewellery, memento mori, diaries or more random objects like buttons or paper weights, we surround ourselves with these cherished reminders. This poetry workshop will examine the use of these artefacts from our own personal archaeology as prompts for writing poems. Participants will be requested to bring along several such items with a view to writing in depth about one.
